Storytime: My Wolf Print

It's happened again. I came here to write an amazing blog and as soon as the screen opened, the idea I had completely disappeared. I've sat here for two or three minutes, and it hasn't come back. So instead, enjoy a story about one of the pictures on my wall.

This one to be precise
I got this picture back when I was leaving in my flat at Huddersfield. Back then, there was this absolutely brilliant junk shop. It's a night club now sadly but back when it was still a shop, it was the sort of place you could find all the things you never knew you wanted. There was an Alien vs Predator Table (Alien & Predator were the legs), a Spider-Man chair and a life-size Cardboard Wall-E. I nearly bought that, but it sold by the time I had £30 to spare (I was relatively poor between pay days).

But it also had that picture.

I don't know what it is about that picture that caught my eye. All I knew was that I loved it, and it was approximately the same size as the mirror that I had hid in my wardrobe (trust me, if you were me, you would not want to see yourself first thing in the morning) so it would cover the sudden blank spot on my wall.

It was priced at £14. I went up to the shop owner (I was in there often enough so she knew me on sight, if not name) and told her I'd like her. We had a small talk about the picture, which included a debate on whether or not the main Wolf (not the moon Wolf) was sad or not. I took the side of it being happy. It looks happy to me, holwing simply because it can. It was evidentally a lot more eloquent in the shop, since she gave me it for £4 instead of the marked price.

Since then, it has hung on the wall of every house/flat I've lived in (which isn't as impressive since I moved back home and am still there). I love it as much today as I did when I bought it.

That's all. You can go now.

Things have been quiet on the Blog front.

Things have been fairly quiet on this blog recently, and that is my fault.

Sorry.

Basically, my life suddenly turned active! Surprised?! I was too. It all started with a last minute run up to Scotland to spend time with one of my best friends on her Birthday. Initially I was supposed to go up from the Tuesday to the Sunday, but I was having fun and it was an open ended ticket so I stayed a couple more days. I'll tell you about that some other time.

So I got back from Scotland, spent about a minute at home, and then rushed off to Chesire to Gransit. My Gran, you see, lives with my Aunt & Uncle because she can't really manage by herself (You know, because she's old). Elaine & Paul went off for a holiday, so I nobly volunteered myself to stay with her until they get back. (Actually Dad volunteered me.) I'm still here (HELLO CHESIRE) and will be until around the 26th/27th.

But enough about that. Time for an update on a project of mine.

A long, long, long, LONG time ago (here actually), I mentioned I was planning on doing a Stop Motion Dr Who Series. WELL since then, a lot of fun things happened. I've spent some time running between hospitals, collecting figures, jetsetting around the United Kingdom and generally not doing things I've been telling myself to do.

That has changed however.

I got Dad involved. We have a workspace now! I have a really big desk. All my figures are in one place. I have a camera and a tripod and LIGHTING! It's exciting! I've never had lighting before. Soon there shall be power, and with power comes PRINTERS! Once Dad and I have figured out how to make the models from here, that's it. We're starting.

For the time being, I'm sticking with stories focused around an alternate reality (parallel universe, alternate Universe - whatever you want to call it)Tenth Doctor and Sarah Jane.  I'm planning some stuff based on the Thirteenth Doctor and there will be the odd Classic story as well. I'm planning on doing 8 two part story, each one of which will last roughly ten minutes in total. There are plans in place for specials, such as one to start off the Series.

So there you go. Expect an announcement video soon.
